2025 Aprilia Tuono V4 Revealed
Tuono V4 and its higher-spec Factory counterpart are now more cutting-edge than ever, featuring upgraded engines, electronics, and an aggressive design. Both models include Race dashboards, launch control, pit limiter, three-level slide control (adjustable in three steps), cornering headlights, and cornering lights – bringing these machines even closer to modernity than before.
Aprilia also made revisions to the visual appearance, dropping the belly pan in order to showcase its 65-degree V-4 engine more prominently and installing aero winglets for improved aerodynamics.
Engine
The 2025 Tuono V4 features significant upgrades to its powertrain. Noale-built 65-degree V4 engines now produce 180 horsepower thanks to an expanded engine displacement of 1099cc and 52 millimeter throttle bodies; furthermore, these engines meet Euro 5-compliant regulations.
A new 5.0-inch TFT dash and backlit switchgear greatly enhance visibility, while an enhanced ride-by-wire system with predictive algorithms makes the bike even easier to ride. Additional features include three ride modes, cornering ABS with multiple maps, lean angle sensor for the traction control system, cruise control, wheelie control and Aprilia Performance Ride Control – among many others.
Factory models feature Aprilia’s track pack, including a race dashboard and launch control designed specifically to maximize standing starts. Aprilia’s semi-active Ohlins suspension comes standard on these high-performance versions – an analog Sachs suspension provides more comfortable ergonomics. A standard Tuono V4 offers both options.
Suspension
Aprilia’s flagship naked motorcycle boasts a new frame, aero updates and 180 horsepower on tap – ready for battle. The fairing is frame-mounted for increased airflow while MotoGP-inspired wings claim to increase vertical load by 2.5 pounds at 250 km/h.
The Tuono V4 offers an outstanding set of rider assists via its APRC electronics solution, with customizable engine maps, cruise control, ride modes and lean-sensitive traction control as well as wheelie control. Furthermore, its semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension stands out while the Race Pack adds GPS modules that preprogram traction and wheelie control settings for specific tracks.
Tuono V4 models and its Factory variant, only available in Shark Gray, feature an improved five-inch TFT dash that’s easier to navigate with backlit bar controls and backlighting. In addition, the Factory features track-oriented dashboard with launch control, pit limiter, predictive slide control (adjustable in three levels), unique Dark Kraken graphics scheme and two-tone seat.
Electronics
Aprilia’s on-board electronics have never been more advanced. Thanks to Aprilia’s revolutionary APRC system – standard on Tuono V4 Factory models and available as an in-app purchase without visiting a dealer – riders can customize their machine’s electronics set-up according to their own personal requirements and riding style.
In addition to eight-level traction control and three engine braking maps, the Aprilia Premium Riding Control Suite includes a predictive rider aid which processes speed, lean angle and throttle position data in order to anticipate what the bike will do next and optimise systems such as wheelie control and bi-directional quickshifters accordingly. All data can be downloaded for analysis through Aprilia MIA app management.
Tuono 660 and V4 Factory both utilize Ohlins’ fully adjustable 43mm NIX fork and STX 46 shock, as well as a five-inch colour TFT display with optic bonding technology and backlit switchgear for an enhanced rider experience.
Design
Aprilia’s Tuono V4 family has long been a favourite with us at MCN due to its mix of composed handling, throaty 65-degree V4, and race-inspired chassis design. Recent spy shots show an even more track-focused 2025 version.
Aprilia claims its new front end features integrated aero winglets inspired by their MotoGP bikes will reduce drag while improving rider protection by redirecting airflow away from riders’ legs.
The Tuono Factory also comes equipped with additional electronic functions, such as race dashboard, launch control, pit limiter and slide control. Furthermore, Aprilia claims this upgrade makes the Tuono V4 Factory ‘the most sophisticated super-naked in its class’.
